Reading Champions

In 2014, the Reading Champions collaboration was formed to help serve children and adults with dyslexia who were unable to pay for testing and tutoring. Volunteer tutors are trained by The Reading Center in our full Basic Orton-Gillingham Training Program including practicum at no cost. They then agree to tutor two students over the next two years for free.

In 2017, 41 students were served in this program at no cost to the family.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer tutor for this program, or to enroll yourself or your child, please contact Gail  Harris at the Rochester Public Library at (507) 328-2373 or gharris@rochester.lib.mn.us.
