The Reading Center offers courses to instruct adults in the Orton-Gillingham approach. These courses are called the Basic Training Institute and the Advanced Training Institute.

The Reading Center is the only organization offering Orton-Gillingham training in Minnesota that has been approved by the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators.

Reading Center staff are also available to make presentations in the community to increase awareness of reading disabilities and of the scientifically proven methods that are effective. A high impact workshop is our "Walk in the Shoes of a Person with Dyslexia" simulation.

The Best of Basics (BoB) Summer School is offered each summer in Rochester for pre-Kindergarten to High School students. 2009 Best of Basics dates are to be set.
