Teachers, parents or other interested individuals who would like to be trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach can enroll in our Basic Training Institute. One Basic Training Institute is held during the summer, and another is offered in the Winter/Spring. These include approximately 120 hours of thorough, individualized and small group instruction, special speakers, and practice with students, This course is appropriate for a person who wishes to become an Educational Therapist, or a parent/family member who wants to be able to effectively support their student as they learn.

Individuals who have already successfully completed the Basic Training Institute, and would like to expand their knowledge for working with students grades 4 through high school can enroll in our Advanced Training Institute. The Advanced Training Institute is offered each summer and occasionally in the fall. These include 96 hours of thorough, individualized, and small group instruction, and practice with students.
