After a child has completed testing at the Reading Center, Educational Therapy with an Educational Therapist trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach may be recommended. Educational Therapists with special training provide services in reading, spelling, writing skills, and math.
Lessons are arranged with an Educational Therapist who can work individually or in small groups with the student, focusing attention on special needs. The duration and frequency of lessons vary depending on individual circumstances.
Lessons are typically forty-five minutes to an hour in length, for a minimum of twice a week. Parents and the Educational Therapist agree to the length of lesson time most appropriate for a student.
