The Reading Center
Dyslexia Institute of Minnesota
The mission of The Reading Center / Dyslexia Institute of Minnesota is to serve the needs of individuals affected by language learning difficulties.
Building Confidence ♦ Inspiring Hope ♦ Enhancing Success
Dyslexia is a language-based learning disability, resulting in people having difficulties with reading, writing and spelling. It occurs in people of all backgrounds and intellectual levels, and it runs in families.
Our mission is to help children and individuals with reading disabilities, known as dyslexia, to achieve success in school and life.
- We provide diagnostic testing and educational therapy to children and individuals struggling with reading disabilities, helping them unlock the code of written language.
- We train teachers in the scientifically proven Orton-Gillingham approach so that they can effectively teach students with reading disabilities.
- We increase awareness of dyslexia and the methods that help through public presentations, aimed at parents and teachers, so that children with dyslexia are identified and helped.
The Reading Center/Dyslexia Institute helps children and adults primarily from Southern Minnesota, but we reach into the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota. If your child or family member needs our services, please call at 507-288-5271.
