What we do-

  • Test: people of all ages to identify learning disabilities
  • Tutor: individuals with specially trained therapists
  • Train: educators to use the Orton-Gillingham approach
  • Talk: to communities to raise awareness about dyslexia
  • Teach:  study skills sessions for middle and high school students
  • Tend: an extensive lending library with specialized materials

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month

Dyslexia Dash   Have fun and help support the Reading Center while participating in our annual walk/ run.  Appropriate for the whole family.  Register here.

Simulation: Walk in the Shoes of a Dyslexic Person  Learn about dyslexia by experiencing some of the feelings that persons with dyslexia live with  each and every day.   Free and open to the public.  Appropriate for adults and mature teens.   Registration is required. Space is limited.  Register here.  

Panel Discussion:  Hear and learn from people that  live with dyslexia.  Questions and sharing are encouraged. Free and open to the public.   Appropriate for adults and mature teens.  Registration requested to assure enough seating.    Register here.
